About Me
I have always loved the library. Some of my earliest memories are visiting the library with my grandmother and learning to read from the books we checked out together.
For the last seventeen years, I have taken my love for reading and shared it with my students. As a middle school English/Language Arts teacher, it is my passion to help every student find a book that they connect to and experience that moment where they don’t want to put it down.
I have made Libertyville my home, and it is my privilege to live here with my husband and daughter. In addition to reading and teaching, I love traveling, exploring, and learning. I believe in community service, and I know that my experience and passion would be well utilized as a library trustee.
"Until I feared I would lose it, I never loved to read. One does not love breathing." Harper Lee, To Kill a Mockingbird
